Markus Rothkranz Recipes: Cranberry Apple Almond Oatmeal Cookies

This video showcased Markus Rothkranz and Cara Brotman making a recipe of raw “Cranberry Apple Almond Dehydrated Cookies”. Markus states that eating a raw diet will contribute to anti-aging benefits, as him and Cara are 44 and 51, however, they appear to be much younger and vibrant.

The cookies are touted to be quick, easy to make and 100% raw. They state that it is the most “nutritious cookies ever” and it is a good idea to eat them with tea.

Rothkranz states that the cookies will be placed into a dehydrator between 6 to 15 hours at 118 degrees Fahrenheit. The amount of time will depend on how crispy or soft you would like your cookie. He claims that heating food over 180 degrees destroys important enzymes, as enzymes are the life force inside of the food we eat.

The Recipe called for the following ingredients:
Rolled Oats
2 Cups Oat Flour (can be purchase premade or can be made by blending rolled oats)
2 Cups Grated Apples
2 Tbs. Cashew Butter
Fresh or Frozen Cranberries
Maple Syrup

*If the cranberries are too overwhelming, you can cut them in half or pick out smaller cranberries to use.

1. Drizzle maple syrup over cranberries according to sweetness preference
2. Add remaining ingredients and cranberries to a bowl and knead with hands
3. Take dough and shape into cookie form and place them on dehydrator tray
4. Place tray of cookies into dehydrator and dehydrate for 6 to 15 hours.

The cookies make excellent holiday gifts and do not spoil easily.
