Crystal Hunt deemed herself a part of the daytime drama world. But even more than that, her stints on soap operas have made Hunt a household name. From 2003-2005, Hunt played Elizabeth Lillian ‘Lizzie’ Spaulding. SoapOperaNetwork indicates she won an Emmy for Younger Outstanding Actress in a Drama series for her performance on daily television for many reasons, though mainly attributed to her character raising awareness of cancer as Lizzie struggled with leukemia. She also won a special recognition from The Leukemia and Lymphobia society.
Hunt then went to One Life to Live from 2009-2012 until it was canceled. She played Stacey Marasco. As her most recent daytime role, she put all of her effort forward. Her backstory consisted of being an ex-stripper and ended with a dramatic death falling through ice on a lake. In dying, she also gave up her child to the father’s girlfriend. This put Hunt’s daytime dramatics at an end.
But there is no reason to worry about Crystal Hunt and her play in the area of acting. She has recently worked in 2015 as Lauren in Magic Mike XXL, one of the largest movies to come to theaters that year.
While Hunt began as a beauty queen, she developed into a daytime queen and now has spread her wings to other projects outside of soap operas.
Do not count Crystal Hunt of acting just yet. Soap operas are fickle fellows and she could pop up on one any day if she wanted. But she seems rather contented moving away from the title as queen of drama and expanding her skillsets outside of simply acting.
